Part-time Position: Web Designer
Atomic Crayon has an immediate opening for a Part-time Web Designer. The Web Designer is a team player who is skilled in matching client objectives with appropriate design results for the Internet and Web-based marketing initiatives. Attention to detail, combined with a moderate working knowledge of design-related applications, usability principles, and the latest in coding standards are essential.
General:
- Self motivated, organized and accountable.
- Able to work with a team or independently with little direction.
Must have:
- Strong design portfolio with 2+ years formal design education or a combination of education / experience.
- Portfolio that demonstrates a wide range of design styles and business friendly design.
- Be prepared to show examples of your work that clearly demonstrate your abilities. You will need to describe your roles and responsibilities in the development of past projects.
- An understanding of information architecture and navigation schema.
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
- Comprehensive understanding of CSS / XHTML mark-up.
Desired, but not required:
- Experience working with .net and php.
- Experience with Content Management Systems.
